Bekum Machinenfabricken plans to debut its Eblow 37 at K 2016 (Hall 14, Stand C03).
The hybrid electric blow moulding machine is designed for producing packaging, especially canisters.
The goal of Bekum engineers was to use experience from making the Eblow series of electric-powered packaging machines and combine it with the company’s proven BA 34.2 hydraulic canister press — officials report more than 200 BA 34.2 presses have been sold.
The result, according to Berlin-based Bekum, is the best of both worlds — an energy-saving system with fast closing pressure buildup. On the Eblow 37, closing unit and mold closing are electrically driven, while the closing pressure buildup for force transmission is done using servo hydraulics, for speed.
Eblow 37 boosts canister production by up to 15%, over conventional hydraulic machines.
Bekum machines have spiral distribution blow heads, featuring excellence wall thickness distribution in the perform and finished product.
